I stopped by this coffee shop while visiting Buffalo, and it ended up being my favourite cafe of the trip. I ordered the Brown Sugar Latte, and it was absolutely delicious, made just right. The shop's a little small, but it had a cozy feel, and I even bought a bag of their coffee beans to take home. Definitely worth a visit.

I want to start by adding that Overwinter was one of the few shops open in downtown Buffalo on a Friday morning. I would like to know where/why people come to the downtown area, and what sort of investments can be made to improve downtown livability, because Buffalo does seem a little empty for its beautiful old architecture. In other words, the vibe that morning was like an oasis in a sea of foreclosed businesses. In any case, good coffee and fun talking to the barista! β˜•οΈ

I stepped in on an overcast Thursday morning, which was immediately brightened by the friendly and informative staff as well as my hot chai latte made with miso black sesame syrup. I recommend asking about the secret menu, as that’s where I saw the syrup. Absolutely a hot mocktail-coffee I did not expect and will now cherish and try (in vain) to recreate at home! Guess I’ll have to go back, and you should too! Ooh! The brown butter-chocolate chip cookie was perfectly sweet and salty, just the thing to cut the savory flavors of my drink! Mad props to the business and the staff for having great tastes that stand out!

The cappuccino breve was perfectly steamed, delicious. The sole person working was very friendly and efficient when it got suddenly busy. The place is very small with just a couple of outward facing seats at a bar. They offer a full compliment of hot and cold drinks; you can get a pour over of just about all the beans they sell. Pastries and baked goods are also available. Highly Recommended!

I was staying at the Hyatt for the Buffalo Marathon. I walked over to Overwinter Coffe, and I am so glad I did. It is a quaint coffee shop with a small selection of tasty pastries. The blueberry lemon scone was phenomenal. I ordered an Americano, which was made with perception. I enjoyed a beautiful May morning sitting right outside. If you are in the area, I highly recommend Overwinter Coffee.
